Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery Statement for Man with Van Cricklewood
Man with Van Cricklewood is committed to conducting all aspects of its business in an ethical, transparent, and responsible manner. This Modern Slavery Statement sets out our approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking within our own operations and throughout our supply chains.
Modern slavery is a serious crime and a grave violation of fundamental human rights. It can take various forms, including forced labour, servitude, human trafficking, child labour, and debt bondage. Man with Van Cricklewood has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking.
Our Business and Supply Chain
Man with Van Cricklewood provides transport, removals, and related logistical services. Our operations are primarily based in the United Kingdom and rely on a network of direct employees, subcontracted drivers, vehicle hire companies, fuel providers, equipment suppliers, and other service providers. We recognise that some of these areas, particularly subcontracted services and goods sourced through multiple tiers, can present risks of modern slavery if not actively managed.
We aim to work only with reputable suppliers and partners who share our commitment to ethical conduct and respect for human rights. We expect them to operate in accordance with all applicable labour, employment, and human rights laws and regulations.
Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Cricklewood operates a strict zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. This means we will not knowingly engage with, or continue to work with, any individual, supplier, contractor, or other business partner involved in modern slavery practices. Any suspected breach of this policy will be investigated and, where appropriate, may lead to the termination of contracts or partnerships and, if necessary, reporting to relevant authorities.
All employees, workers, and contractors engaged by Man with Van Cricklewood are expected to act with integrity and in accordance with this policy at all times.
Supplier Standards and Audits
To reduce the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain, we seek to engage suppliers and contractors who can demonstrate robust labour and human rights practices. Our expectations include fair wages, safe working conditions, voluntary employment, and non-discriminatory practices.
We reserve the right to conduct checks and audits on suppliers and subcontractors where we consider it appropriate. These may include requesting documentation regarding employment practices, verifying identity and right to work, and asking for details of policies and procedures related to labour standards. Where concerns arise, we will engage with the supplier to seek clarification and improvement. Failure to address serious concerns may result in the discontinuation of the business relationship.
Reporting Channels and Whistleblowing
We encourage anyone connected with our business, including employees, workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and members of the public, to raise concerns about possible modern slavery or unethical labour practices related to Man with Van Cricklewood or our supply chain.
Concerns can be reported to management or through established internal reporting routes. Reports may be made confidentially, and we will take all concerns raised seriously. We will not tolerate any form of victimisation or retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith, even if those concerns are ultimately found to be unfounded.
All reports will be promptly reviewed, and where necessary, investigated and addressed. Where appropriate, we may involve external advisers or law enforcement agencies.
Training and Awareness
We are committed to raising awareness of modern slavery risks among our staff and key contractors. Training and guidance are provided so that relevant individuals can recognise potential indicators of modern slavery, understand how to report concerns, and appreciate the importance of compliance with this Statement.
Managers and those responsible for procurement or supplier management are made aware of the heightened risks in certain sectors and geographies and are expected to apply increased due diligence where appropriate.
Monitoring and Annual Review
Man with Van Cricklewood recognises that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility. We will monitor the effectiveness of our measures and seek opportunities for continual improvement. This Modern Slavery Statement will be reviewed at least once every year, or more frequently if required by changes in legislation, best practice, or our business operations.
As part of the annual review, we will consider feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders, evaluate any incidents or concerns raised, and assess the need for updated training, enhanced supplier checks, or additional policy measures.
This Statement has been approved by the management of Man with Van Cricklewood, who take overall responsibility for its implementation and for ensuring that adequate resources are made available to support our commitments.
